My Story

Hi there!

Thank you so much for your interest in my pet care company! Animals are, will and have always been my life. When I was a little girl it was my dream to be a Veterinarian, my parents raised me to be loving and compassionate to every animal, and that each one has something to teach you if you listen to them. I grew up having some fish that were very important, my two beautiful Standard Poodles, Coco & Eleanor, my black cat, Baikal, and later on, my rescue bunny, Cinnamon bun. When I was 13 I had recently moved across the country from Oregon to Maryland, I had to leave behind everything I knew and all my friends. At 13 I started horse back riding which had always been a huge dream of mine, and we were finally able to afford it, since we had moved for my dad’s new job. I immersed myself in riding and was at the barn all day every day. I started to become a working student and that was honestly one of the most important things in my life, I learned responsibility, putting the animals needs before mine, work ethic, and how to present myself in a professional manner. We ended up moving back to Oregon when I was 15, we bought a 5 acre farm in the south hills, which used to be an old riding school with 2 arenas, multiple pastures and a 12 stall barn. At 16 my wishes came true and I was the proud owner of a beautiful 6 year old, off-the-track thoroughbred, who I named Rocco. All my dreams had come true I was beyond grateful and amazed, but it definitely required some hard work. I woke up everyday before school to muck, feed and turn him out for the day, and after school i would feed, muck and ride him. After a while I decided to start boarding him at a local show barn, where we started training together and showing. I became a working student there as well, and I lived at the barn, I even started doing online school my senior year so I could focus on riding more. We would be gone all summer at shows and I would be working and riding all day, usually starting at 3 or 4 am and getting done at around 6 or 7. Working with horses is hard work, and it will teach you endlessly, I’m forever grateful for the valuable lessons I learned. Rocco and my barn really were instrumental in becoming the person I am today, being a teenager is really difficult and animals have been there for me, with love, every step of the way. A few years later I started working at a doggy daycare, and quickly realized that this is what I want to do, I found a way to pair my love of animals with my love of helping others. I learned so much at that job and I am very grateful for the vast experience I gained, but I decided to leave and pave my own path. Now at 23, I started my business with these values in mind: I want to provide quality, enriching care for pets who thrive with 1 on 1 care, I want to give pet parents the peace of mind that their pet is loved and safe when they cannot be there, I want to enrich the lives of both the pet and the pet parent with connection, open and honest communication, trust and with my passion and ingenuity, and I wanted to cater to the pets that maybe need a little more support, those who are sensitive, because I know how isolating it can feel, and I want pet parents to know that I am here for them. I am very excited for the future and I am just getting started! Thank you for reading about me and thank you for being a part of my journey and entrusting me with your beloved furry family members, I appreciate you all so much! :)
